What is FateMMO: Awaken?

FateMMO: Awaken is a free turn-based RPG set in the world of FateMMO, the 2D mobile MMORPG Bezhig is building. You walk painted regions, run into roaming monsters and fight them turn by turn with Fight, Skills, Items, Defend, Flee or Auto. It runs in any modern browser on phones and desktops, with no download.

Start as a guest right away. Your browser keeps a guest hero for up to 30 days; create a free account whenever you like to keep your hero, gear and story progress for good.

What you do in Awaken

Battle turn by turn

Choose Fight, Skills, Items, Defend or Flee each round, or hand the fight to Auto. Hit a monster's weakness for extra damage, and watch for the ones that resist.

Face dragons and bosses

Bosses change the fight with a second phase, and dragons like the Aether Drake headline the biggest battles.

Collect gear worth chasing

Fill 10 equipment slots with random drops and boss rewards, then upgrade your favorites at Jef's forge.

Hunt rare finds

About one roaming monster in 50 is a Gilded Drakeling. It's quick and it may flee, but beating it gains you a whole level.

Follow a story in chapters

Nine chapters take you from the Whispering Woods to the Fate Domains, and new chapters arrive in updates.

Share the world

Other heroes walk the same roads, and the Clan Hall gives your clan a place to talk.

Peanut binds your class in the Castle of Fate. Skills unlock in this order as you level.

How to start

  1. Press Play. You start as a guest, with no download and no sign-up.
  2. Follow the gold Fate Thread. It marks your next goal through the Whispering Woods.
  3. Choose your class. In the Castle of Fate, Peanut binds you as a Warrior, Mage or Archer.
  4. Keep your hero. Create a free account whenever you like to save your progress for good.

Yes. Awaken is free to play in your web browser, with no download.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Press Play and you start as a guest. Your browser keeps a guest hero for up to 30 days unless its site data is cleared. Create a free FateMMO account whenever you like to keep your hero, gear and story progress for good.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Awaken runs in modern browsers on phones and desktops, with touch controls on phones.

What kind of game is Awaken?

Is Awaken the same game as FateMMO?

No. Awaken is its own game with its own progression, set in the same world as FateMMO, the 2D mobile MMORPG Bezhig is building. The native iOS build completed internal TestFlight testing in June, and the free external TestFlight waitlist is open. Invitations are not live yet and there is no invitation date.
